Customer Zone – Your Support in the Coating Process

Collaborating with Malarnia Perfect is not only a guarantee of quality but also clear principles and support at every stage. We have prepared a set of essential information for you to help navigate the process efficiently, from the initial inquiry to the final pickup of your finished components.

How to prepare elements for coating?

Proper preparation of components is 50% of the success. Before delivering your goods to us, please check the following points:

  • Technological holes (crucial!): Closed profiles and tubes must have holes with a minimum diameter of 3-5 mm. This allows liquids from the washers to drain freely and prevents the element from bursting due to heated air in the oven (200°C).

  • Surface cleanliness: Elements should be free of thick layers of grease, silicones, glues, and stickers. Silicone is the worst enemy of a coating shop – it causes so-called “cratering.”

  • Disassembly: Remove all gaskets, plastic plugs, rubber elements, and bearings. They will not withstand the polymerization temperature in the oven.

  • Thread protection: If you have precision threads or fitted holes that must not be painted – please let us know. We offer professional masking with heat-resistant tapes and plugs.

Maximum Dimensions and Capabilities

With two production lines (the automated ECO-LINE and a manual line), we handle everything from small components to large-scale structures:

  • Automated Line: optimal for series of parts with dimensions up to 3000 x 1000 x 1600 mm.
  • Manual Line / Over-sized: steel structures with a length of up to 7000 mm (7 meters).
  • Maximum Weight: up to 80 kg per linear meter of the conveyor.

Important: We also coat elements with non-standard dimensions exceeding the parameters mentioned above. The feasibility of such an order depends on their shape, cross-section, and weight. If your component is unusual – please contact us. Our technicians will verify if, by using the correct suspension angle, we are able to coat it safely and precisely.

What do we coat, and what don’t we?

What we coat (YES) What we DO NOT coat (NO)
Black, galvanized, and stainless steel Wood and MDF boards
Aluminum and all its alloys Plastics (PVC, plastic)
Cast iron and die-castings Rubber and flexible elements
Rims, gates, structures, profiles Elements contaminated with silicone

Lead Time and Transport

We respect your time, which is why we keep the logistical process to a minimum:

  1. Standard lead time: usually ranges from 3 to 5 business days.

  2. Express Service: upon prior agreement, completion is possible within 24-48h.

  3. Pickup and delivery: We have our own transport fleet. We can collect raw components and deliver the coated items to the specified address. We also handle pallet and courier shipments.

Estimated Price List

Every order is unique, which is why we prepare an individual quote within 24h of your inquiry. The price is influenced by:

  • Surface area in m² or the number of units (for series).

  • Paint type: standard RAL palette or special colors (metallics, textures).

  • Surface condition: whether the element requires additional sandblasting or shot blasting.

  • Masking: the number of areas requiring protection from the paint.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Do you paint used or rusted elements?

Yes. In such cases, we perform a sandblasting or shot blasting process, which removes old paint and rust, preparing the metal for powder coating.

Is powder coating enough to prevent an element from rusting outdoors?

For elements exposed to atmospheric conditions (e.g., gates, balustrades), we recommend a two-layer system: a zinc primer + the topcoat. This ensures protection in the C4/C5 corrosion class.

How do you protect the finished elements?

Painted components are carefully packed in stretch film, foams, or cardboard dividers to ensure they safely withstand transport.

Will powder coating hide scratches and surface irregularities in the metal?

Powder coating is a thicker layer than traditional liquid paint, but it does not act as a filler. While structural paints can visually minimize minor flaws, deep scratches or corrosion pitting will remain visible. In such cases, we recommend prior grinding or sandblasting.

Do you offer sandblasting or chemical paint removal?

Yes. For used, rusted, or restoration-required elements (e.g., rims, bicycle frames, old fences), we perform abrasive blasting (sandblasting/shot blasting). This allows us to restore the metal to its raw state, ensuring perfect adhesion for the new coating.

How should I calculate the surface area of elements for a quote?

In the case of simple sheet metal, we calculate square meters (remembering both sides). For openwork elements (fences, grates) or complex solids (rims, machine parts), we apply conversion factors that take into account the surface area of the painted component and the degree of painting difficulty. The best approach is to send us a photo of the detail along with its external dimensions.

Can I bring my own paint?

We work with proven powders from renowned brands, so there is no need for you to bring your own paint. The paints we use guarantee 100% satisfaction.
